I have a 13-year-old (middle school) daughter who is enrolled in a private school.  Said school certain talks the talk--but when it comes to walking the walk...nope.

The topic:  bullying.

Does anyone have any experience with bullying--school, office, social circle?  I'm looking for real-world solutions instead of all the theoretical cr@p I've been reading?

Kind thanks for your input.

I don't have any general advice, except that bullies always are looking for control, and when you respond to them, you're giving them exactly what they want.  If you're the one reacting, you're not the one in control.

Can you be more specific?

Counselling - whether or not the school does what they should - the child needs someone other than/in addition to family member. This is the 3rd post I've seen now about bullying in 24 hours. It's serious stuff and I witnessed it in my family - my brother. It's hell to live with.
I hope you find your answers Suuse.
